Do you have internet?
A little worried with the issues a lot of residents are having in getting connected to the internet, I work from home, so its imperative I have internet connection straight away.
In addition, if you're up and running with internet who did you go with?

Hi Terri No Internet or phone line because the house plot is deemed fibre optic to property harron have to put in wiring for bt to send open reach. Once done we can arrange a line. Site staff have been digging pavement up this week and have said ours next door and yours 263 will have connectivity this week. Haven't heard from them yet but I'll check tomorrow...should be sorted for you before 22nd! Ann

That will be brilliant if its installed ready for us to move in on the 22nd, I can get broadband sorted sharpish
I know some of Harron Homes are having real issues getting connected to the internet, neither BT, Sky or Virgin have been very helpful

Not sure you'll get sorted Terri am still trying! Did manage to get someone really helpful at bt last night but not much further forward...neither bt nor open reach appear to be talking to each other and I have made harron aware. Ann

Is there a box in on the street? Without a box nothing will be connected.
I am still waiting since Xmas as Harron messed up, our Internet should be connected to the box that's already on the street as it is on the plans but Harron have put our ducting going the wrong way which means it goes to the box that's not yet built so 4 month and still waiting all through them messing up. Xx

Reading the Lescar Road internet forum, it seems that Harron have got the job of connecting the house to the fibre line and then open reach should connect the house to the exchange. Apparently Harrons sub contractor hasn't been connecting the homes to the line and therefore openreach can't do there bit. The guys on Lescar Road seem to have got things moving after raising a fuss with Harron and BT Openreach.

If there's no box them nothing will be connected to anything as I spoke to the openreach engineers last week. It's mainly all down to Harron at the moment for a lot of it. If they don't move things along then nothing will get sorted xx

This web form can be completed by anyone who's already ordered their service and still not receiving anything, they promise to respond in 2 days. Has your internet connection been sorted?
I checked with Harron Sales Office for a timeline of when our house would be connected, been advised that Head Office are working with BT Openreach who are under staffed to get homes connected.
Been in touch with BT and they can't offer us anything as our property isn't on their system yet

Hi Terri It's not likely to be sorted any time soon. I've raised a complaint with bt so they have 10 days to respond I'm on day 4! Open reach have 2 conflicting bits of info on the system, 1 saying we have to be fibre optic to home which means harron should fit the modem and line to the house and 1 saying we can have traditional broadband. The helpful young man I spoke to Monday has manually created our address and an order on the system so as soon as there is any news I will get a phone call. As soon as I know anything I'll update you. We're carrying laptops to family to download emails and surf the Web, paul has exceeded his mobile data limit twice in 2 weeks ? speak soon Ann

Apparently the requests they get the quicker it will be up and running. I've also put a request in with BT, guess it's wait and see, will be very hard considering I work from home. Reading I've done on this site says we all have fibre to the door, which allows super fast broadband :-)
