Ok it's just the design statement part of the masterplan that's been updated. Either way the council are already in on it. Not sure how they can objectively decide on this now?
The following parts from the statement by Harworth and Barratt are laughable.
brief
The following points summarise the brief at an early stage of the design process:
• Deliver quality of built form and spaces which are image enhancing
• Enable local residents and businesses to have meaningful influence on our proposals at every stage
aspirations
Our intention is to deliver a secure and sustainable development of modern family homes in a safe, green and welcoming environment.
Achieve this vision through careful design and communication with the local authority and residents without preconception of the possibilities for this site.
Thanks for picking out these points, they are just that little more frustration i needed to ring the council.
i already told her that i had contested. she told me that a decision was to be mad by no later than the 16th october (which seems ages away). she also reassured me that there was no hidden deals going through with the council and barrats, to push the planning through. (which i told her i hope is true) and that every ones comments will be read.
Again i really hope this is true but i find it hard to believe especially with the above.
I told her that what harworth and barrats are presenting to the council regarding the public consultation is a lie, and that none of our points have been listened to.
She gave me the direct email address for the person who is working with this planning application. [ lisa.brooks@rotherham.gov.uk ] and said we are more than welcome to email her too if we want to bring anything to her attention, which i will be doing after this post.
also the application will be submitted to a board at rotherham council which we have the right to speak at. with an allocated 3 min to voice our concerns before a final decision can be made. I'm up for going if someone wants to join me. there isn't a date for this yet.
It would be terribly bad form for the council to outright lie to me on the phone about planning applications, so i really want to trust she was telling me the truth.
anyway ... yeah ;/ i don't know how useful this is to anyone ..... all i can say is it seems everyone is at least trying, and if that doesn't show community spirit, then i don't know what does
