I will do one day when you're not so busy... your place was a hive of activity when I swung by Rosewood earlier. 😊Mine was being plastered this week so no real visible change... I'm soooo impatient! Anyway happy housewarming!!

It has been a very chaotic day only just sat down at first glance everything is ok a few very minor issues but nothing to stop us enjoying our first night(we have a few empty boxes now if anyone wants them before I take them to the tip)

Tip tip: I did many, many trips to the Rotherham tip near Greasbrough (S61 4QL) when we first moved in, and then afterwards I discovered there's one just 6 minutes away (S13 7PS). I know Waverley isn't officially Sheffield but never been questioned.

If it's just cardboard you're getting rid of you can take it to bins next to the petrol station at Morrisons.

Has anyone else heard rumours that completion dates are being pushed out again? My husband called to get an update today (because they never call us) and Jenni in the site office said there is a chance that ours is pushed back to 9th December. Our original date was 18th November, it's already been pushed back to 25th November and now this.
We don't understand why as the plastering has been done, they are now at the sanitary ware and painting stage (tiling done). Not happy! Site office said they would know for sure on Thursday.
Just wondering what other people know.

Hi there, Jenny called me yesterday and no talk of being pushed back any further but they've already given me 9 Dec for legal completion (I was originally last week in October!). It sounds like we're at similar stages though, so that ties in with same date as me... Mine has been plastered and undercoated and they're likely to be doing Kitchen and Bathrooms this week. My garage is only half built though, and all the drive is still hardcore... fencing etc, and rendering on the outside....guess there's quite a bit to do given there's only just over a fortnight until the build should be complete. Guess I've waited since April so a few weeks more won't hurt Here's hoping you're in on time though.

Sorry to say but it's really starting to sound like they haven't learned any lessons from last year.

Our kitchen was done last week and it's apparently just the rendering that needs doing. Why that would take another 6 weeks God and nlybknows. We are going to try and go down to site Friday afternoon to see what's what.
To be honest, it's not the extra time that bothers me (although it is a pain in terms of booking time off work, removal company), its more the feedback from last year's movers - the closer you get to Christmas, the worse the finish.

Just wondering what other people know. I received a phone call today from Jenny saying that ours has also been put back. Apparently the plumbing in ours isn't yet sorted amongst various other bits to do. I've also noticed that a window is still missing. I couldn't really speak as I was at work. She said that she's going to call me Thursday to give me an answer as to when our move in day would be. It was due to be signed off this Friday. It is now planned to be signed off on the 2nd of December and we should be in by the 9th. That's going to be cutting it fine as our mortgage offer expires on the 9th. Stressful times awaits us! Has anyone had an update. We were expecting to have our date confirmed today but just had a voicemail from Jenny to say she will let us know tomorrow. Had to re-apply for our mortgage due to the uncertainty but managed to save £50 a month!

Rang several times and left a voicemail. Hoping she'll come back to me tomorrow.

Fingers crossed we all get some good news tomorrow then! I have a guy lined up to give me a price for extending the drive so will pass his details in if the price is right.
