Hi all, My husband took a call from Sue on Friday and there were whispers of the dreaded date Friday 23rd December...!!!!! She said she really couldn't give us a date yet as Jonathan was pushing her to try and book some time off work. She said she couldn't give any dates just yet but that the very last completion date which is always a possibility is Friday 23rd December. We have a 5 month old baby...this date would be beyond a nightmare for us :-(

Hi,we had the dreaded phone call Friday we were supposed to move in on the 21st of October we were then put back until the 28th of October,on Friday we had the call you are now moving on the 31st. Sarah phoned to ask why change the date to a Monday when no one on site works at the weekend so I think we are now back to the 28th

@ Jordan, thanks that's reassuring. One of the electricians rang me (from my downstairs living room!!) on Thursday and seems like a really good guy.. he was checking my exact requirements on extras and offering some advice too. I was all happy that they were doing first fix and the roof was on then the delay Friday. @borrington that sounds dreadful I'm sorry to hear it - let's hope we're both moving in on 9th!

We eventually moved on the 23rd December with an 8 month old. It was a deeply upsetting and stressful period as the house was still unfinished when we moved in. I really hope Harron have learned from the mistakes and your transition is smooth and stress free. Fingers crossed

Damaged to a radiator paint work a little suspect in places it's just idle workmanship in small areas all little jobs that have just not been finished off neatly

That's all brilliant news. Thanks for sharing snagging news that's very encouraging. Jenny in the showroom was telling me there's a new site manager on Sunday - Rowan... fingers crossed he's on it! All the best for Friday and let us know how you get on (and if you spot anything else we should look out for!)

I would advise that those who have their dates pushed back in to December are very careful about being rushed in to a house that is not complete.
We moved in October 14 and thankfully we have had no major snags, only minor snags really. However those who move in December always seem to have (from this forum at least) significant issues.
Harron will push to complete sales in December because of end of quarter / end of year sales figures, bonuses etc.
Don't let it spoil your Christmas.

So we thought we'd been lucky and escaped having our move date pushed back but my husband called the site office last Thursday to be told it had indeed been pushed back from the 18th to 25th November. They had just forgotten to phone us when they phoned everyone else! Really don't understand why the date has changed as they are already onto plastering stage .

On the positive it's only a week though I suppose. I went down on Friday to check that we are still on for our move date and nothing had changed. We also are due to move in on 25th.
