I think this suspicion on residents who live on the bus route and the parking of cars is getting slightly ridiculous.....the poor people who live on Stephenson Way have been putting up with the awful parking and overspill from the AMRC for over 3years now and have sent numerous letters to both the council, Harworth and AMRC.........up to this point their complaints have been dismissed. It feels that suddenly just because the bus service has been disrupted that this is now a more important issue......surely people being able to access their homes is as important as the bus being able to go through?? I am frustrated at some of the ludicrous suggestions flying around the forum and the Facebook page......have all the bus users been oblivious to the hideous parking situation up until last Monday when the bus route changed and now as its a problem to the bus it's a problem to them? Spare a thought for those who have it on their doorstep every day! What we need is to work as a community and approach this with the aim to get a resolution for ALL of Waverley, regardless of our modes of transportation.......the bus route has been ill planned and conceived with no proper consultation.....for those of us who attended the Residents Association meeting the other week, we spoke at length to Alan from First about exactly the issues that the bus has enccountered.....we now need Harworth to put their money where their mouth is and not just talk about the Waverley community and what they would like the transportation to look like and deal with the real issues around providing AMRC with additional land to accommodate their parking!

If anyone is still needing pictures I took a few this morning on my daily walk. Don't know if the law differs on adopted/unadopted roads, or if it was as bad today as Tuesday, but clearly lots of violations of parking within 10m of a junction and/or bus stop which I think is the main problem here. See rule 243: www.gov.uk/guidance/the-highway-code/waiting-and-parking-238-to-252

Well said, however the answer to you're question is unfortunately yes. Anyone living away from the corner in the pictures above would not see this as it would be a problem during the day when people are out. Walking around on an evening etc doesn't highlight the issue as the cars are gone by that time. That being said, I'm amazed at how bad it is & I approalud everyone who lives there for not doing anything stilly to those cars through frustration. Appalling is too soft of a description.

Bus home diverted. Apparently another one was stuck. They may be ok tomorrow but who knows. First need to decide what to do here and give some certainty

It was somewhat of a rhetorical question and more a nod to the lack of awareness that Waverley as a community can have around the big topics......a browse through this forum and you have tons of posts relating to AMRC parking.......sometimes it's out of sight and out of mind!

I think the bus is a wonderful idea i catch the bus a lot and it saves a lot of time walking to the bus stop all houses have drives people should put their cars on the drives so the bus can get past if you dont catch the bus then you have no idea how much easier it is that it comes through the estate rather than walking to highfield amrc need to make a bigger car park so the bus can get through but they wont

Just throwing this out there, but would it be the same people who object to the bus, are the same people who let their dogs shit without picking it up, park like twats and in general moan cos this estate is not like something from stepford wives? It makes me howl at the people who whine about public transport because it's beneath them. Should I feel like that next time I treat you in hospital if you don't meet my criteria? Look forward to your responses 😊

No, sorry; don't have a dog. Have also never said public transport is below us so an odd comparison to make - not seen many airplanes coming down Highfield Lane.
