All I can say is that after being told by Barratt, "there might be a bus come through at some point in the future, but will probably only be that little A1 Waverley bus" we were surprised when it turned out to be one of the busiest services with the biggest buses. I can assure you that we haven't complained formally. We don't use a bus so would be unfair of us to do that and, like lots of other people, have family who do rely on public transport. It will be a commercial decision at the end of the day, and will always be a divisive subject. As well as those who use public transport and those who don't, there will be differing opinions between those on or close to the route from those nowhere near it. But that's what this forum is for, so everyone can voice there opinion and be heard. One thing I do need to speak to Harworth about though is the speed bump directly outside our house. The rock trucks and road sweeper have completely worn the paint off and a lot of people don't realise it's there - many buses, cars and vans bounce over it; it needs repainting. I think speed on the estate is a general thing that needs addressing. I know it's not just the buses but some of them have hit it at speed this week literally rattling things in the house and that's really not helping us to get used to them passing. I think you may have hit the nail on the head here. The bus is actually a positive for many; It's the rubbish roads, planning and traffic caused by bad planning that's at fault. If I'd be amazed if it can go through for much longer. The one I was on yesterday could barely get past sadly.

I'm sure it is merely a coincidence.....however there seems to be a few cars clustered around the bus stops. I don't want to think that people are trying to hinder the bus or indeed stop it.
However all those people are doing is causing trouble for the rest of the traffic as the bus can't pull over to pick people up and is stopping in the middle of the road.
Please be a little more mindful about parking.

With regards buses being blocked As poor as the planning may seem (which is following modern standards and practice to be honest) it's ultimately down to people parking inappropriately no matter how wide or in this case narrow a road is it's an offence to obstruct the highway and just because there's no double yellows doesn't mean its appropriate to park somewhere.
In another note the service seemed popular this morning the queue on Highfield Square must have been in double figures as I left for work at 735

We always park on our drive when possible. It was only for a few weeks prior that we parked on the road while our garden was being transformed.

A little car was parked next to the stop on highfield lane and it confused me as it wasn't actually outside a house. The bus almost took the wing mirror off. I don't like to think that people may be trying to make life difficult for the bus drivers.

Living quite close to the Highfield square stop we have watched ppl park there for well over a year and use it as an extended driveway rather than parking around the back of their houses where their parking spaces are located. It's been an issue for car drivers for this entire duration and I cannot understand why anyone wouldn't use their driveway in the first instance, clearly nothing to do with the bus, although interesting it's now something that's been raised now those who use the bus have actually noticed it. I am amazed cars haven't hit each other in the last 18months with the parking there and junction across the road, I do think that stop needs looked at, either creating a proper bus lay-by with a shelter or moving it away from the junction opposite, perhaps then people will gravitate to using the parking space their home came with.

In addition to the above comments, there has been times when approaching Highfield lane from Lescar Road I have felt uncomfortable driving past the bollard / lane separator. There is often a car parked right in front of it. Whilst they are legally in there right to do so, it does make it very difficult for cars to drive past so I'm sure a bus would find it doubley so.

We have had to drive the other side of the bollard as a result several times now due to the little white car there being too close. Good luck bus!

Shocking. Just noticed my poor grammar in previous post. What will the middle-classes think of me now?! Can I blame auto correct? Mia culpa...

If I didn't like the bus route despite it not actually impacting me I'd think twice about parking in a way which would block the bus, forcing a change of route.
Some people rely on the bus & could take serious offence to people making them late.

I suspect it was more to do with the number of cars parked on Stephenson Way for the AMRC.

Could be, but people are still late to appointments or work etc due to missing a rerouted bus which is only once every 30 mins. Being late by that amount of time has consequences, but maybe the bus plebs should just leave an hour earlier to leave enough time to walk to the next stop when their bus doesn't arrive? The walk will keep them warm.
lol@ those who have to deal with those consequences.
For those who don't use the bus, I can see the sheer anger that the route could cause. It really is unbelievable & self centred for people to expect homeowners to view a bus through their window as it drives by for all those seconds.
Come to think of it, we may actually start parking on the road too for the lulz. I don't have children so I'm going to get them banned from the pub, too.

I'm so annoyed, I went for the 11am bus today, it never showed. A builder had to tell me there hadn't been one in a few hours and it had been re routed. This is the second time I've had to pay £10 in a taxi to get to work on time. I've complained on twitter but they are useless. They said it couldn't get down lescar because of cars 😡 why change a route without looking into things like this, I'd rather use the old route until the estate is more established!
