They ought to come and look at Stephenson Way this morning. Just seen the first near miss of the day. I'm utterly sick of it Just imagine what it's going to be like when the local centre opens. Everyone in Sheffield & Rotherham will want to visit it. Mitchell Way is already snided when the Winter Green is busy. Double yellows are a must otherwise the entire estate will be carnage.

When I talked to them about this at the consultation they thought that once the bus starts having issues they will definitely do something about it, but until Taylor whimpy give them the road there is nothing the council can do. Putting double yellows will not solve the problem just move it further into the estate.

Putting double yellows will not solve the problem just move it further into the estate. It might to some extent. If I can't get into Drakehouse for example because of traffic I'll just turn around and go elsewhere/home. Not once have I thought to go and park in a nearby estate and walk.

I think it is more the amrc that I meant There's only one solution for that. Increase the size of the AMRC car park.

Allowing the AMRC to use the retail park carpark could help. Can't really see the two being busy at the same time. The busiest times for the retail park will be weekend when the AMRC is closed.

Yep and the AMRC could let the public use their car park as an overspill at the weekends.
I'll be in cloud cuckoo land if anyone needs me...

Yes plus there are offices and a hotel on the retail section, so will have people there all the time

Of course but I think a bit of thought needs to go into where people will go when it's full, as it inevitably will be at times.
