Sorry for having to spill all on this post but I was fed up of holding back and reading things that were aimed at a person that keeps herself to herself. Very friendly person but being cyber bullied by people that dont know her just because she is the closest house to theirs. They also failed to mention that they have been having drive blocking problems since OCTOBER (posts on here) . This resident put her car there for no more than 12 hours (has her own drive) as all the residents were told to keep their car off their road due to being resurfaced.. everyone of the residents were parked close by to the said residents car . The said residents car just happened to be the closest one to their drive and this was in DECEMBER so it makes me wonder how many more doors he has knocked hell out of and threatened to damage their cars. I am willing to get hold if the video/photo evidence and upload it to here think we can all now see who the victim is here ....without question its the social housing resident. Goong to work and looking after her children she hasnt got time to defend herself against petty neighbours who are trying to pull plugs on everything they don't like

Hi Linds and Matt I see you have made a remark about having trouble with a neighbour/s You have failed to mention what did occur on the occasion in question As I understand it (having seen the video evidence and photos) a resident was parked near the end of your drive leaving plenty of room for you to get your car on your drive (the photos clearly show this) you then banged on the said persons door scaring her two children and proceeded to threaten and intimidate the lady who said she was about to move her car but you just threatened to damage it (which is on video) also you then went on to block her car in so she struggled to move it anyway. If you are going to tell a story you should give people all the facts. Just because people are in social housing does not mean they are a lower class of people or should be discriminated against. Just to put this straight to bed, I haven't at any point stated that I've had a problem with any of my neighbours. My neighbours are lovely and couldn't wish for better.

I would just like to clarify as a new member, my comments have no reference to any personal disputes. I know nothing regarding the comments exchanged personally between the above two members. My comments simply were in defence of the 'affordable housing' community on Waverley. Thanks : )

OMG, why can't people just get along. No need for been stuck up I'm sure everyone works damn hard for what they have whether it be affordable housing or not. As for the area I don't think anyone could get better especially for bringing kids up. So glad we picked this street despite all the problems from Harron as all our neighbours are fantastic. Nobody is better than anyone else! x

Someone could live in a mud hut and shit in a bucket and be an amazing person. They could also live in a castle and be no better than what went into the bucket. That's the way I think anyway.

I've emailed the planners with my thoughts being that before or alongside more houses must be infrastructure and, you guessed it, somewhere to play. Also mentioned maybe they should look on here re some of the problems residents have experienced post purchase.
Affordable housing is mandated by law and is essential. Why should only the wealthy be able to afford to buy their home? Glad to see harron's diverse plans.

I think that you have hit the nail on the head Winterfell. My family's situation is that of, no we are none the less affluent than maybe most other 30 something's on this estate when considering our annual earnings/ profession's however as you quite rightly discussed re: self-employment, as my partner is a self-employed tradesman and we spent a large proportion of our twenties studying/working and living in private rented accommodation paying £600 a month in rent alone throughout a tough economic recession this meant that in turn we didn't have a huge deposit to lay down on our first home. I think the part buy or "affordable housing scheme" as it has been referred to in previous posts is fantastic and in turn means individuals such as ourselves have the opportunity to get onto the property ladder. I find a lot of the statistics surrounding young first time buyers and the inability to get into the property ladder for such reasons very sad and also the impact that this will have on the economy in the long term. I also agree with another member's earlier comments that there is some confusion re: social and affordable housing. However, as again previously discussed, there are good and bad in all walks of life regardless of whether you are a part owner, own the property out right or pay rent to a local council.

All social housing/council tenants on this estate have had to go thro thorough background checks before they are accepted for a property

Copy of the plans are also available on Rotherhams website now. rotherham.planportal.co.uk/?id=RB2016/0467Contains the two phases that were sent through the post, and also some more detail on the small green area opposite the Barratt Renaissance Show Homes and some examples of house types. This is their pre-application so was not open to public consultation - I believe this is just when they gain initial comments from the council before submitting a full application which would be open to public consultation. Did any one who responded to Harrons plan get any reply from them?
