As anyone else noticed the increase of Traffic on Highfield Spring currently. I've found that in the past few months its got a lot busier in the morning.
Some days its taking me over 20 mins just to get down to the roundabout near Morrison s. I also noticed this morning an increase of traffic coming through the estate (through the recently opened TW road) using it as a rat run as the traffic was all the way back to the roundabout near the new Barrats development. Really hope that when the road works are complete that it helps!!!

it has been shocking getting to the roundabout. I'm normally out by 7.30am and its still busy. I have noticed an uplift in traffic everywhere recently not just outside the estate. I notice that some people get to the wintergreen roundabout, then turn up and go through the insudtrial estate and come back out at the next roundabout, i can't imagine that saves more than a minute! Time is money etc....

It seems to be at a standstill every morning, as the estate gets bigger I fear it will only get worse.what's happening down there , I rarely go that way, but looks like the road is to be wider??? I did hear a road would be added to avoid the parkway to go to handsworth down there

It was awful this morning. I usually set of at 7.30 and it's fine but working different shifts this week and leaving around 8.40 :/ The traffic is awful if you go the other way too and go through handsworth. It does worry me that it'll get worse as more people move to the estate.

The amount of traffic and work vans littering Castelton Way is increasing, and that amount of traffic tearing up and down the road will only get worse as the new TW build continues to develop. The builders trucks have twice ripped up the grass verge and seem content to tear up the verge on Highfield lane. The TW site managers know that the vans shouldn't park outside occupied properties, but it appears they don't pass that on to the van drivers. I'll be glad to see the street finished, but then the new development behind the road will still spread mud around the roads and pavements well into 2016.
It's bloody annoying that even though the street is half occupied TW can't be arsed to get a proper street sign fitted. Highfield Square had a sign up before anyone moved in!
I want to see the road levelled to remove the huge puddle at the entrance and the drain cleared. Come winter and it freezes over I'll enjoy watching the speeding cars take the corner to quickly.

It's purely down to the roadworks. The fact that the roundabout is down to one lane in all directions is the main reason. I can see from what they are doing that it's going to be widened substantially, so once they are completed it should ease.
Street signs would be a god send though. The amount of calls I've had from delivery drivers asking me to direct them means I now know the estate like the back of my hand!

Glad to hear (kind of) that it's not just our road that doesn't have a sign. It's a real annoyance to me that we've been in 14 months and still no street sign. I must have spent hours on the phone directing deliveries and visitors.

Oh no, I'm not a dog lover tbh. I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the one falling off the curb as the dogs pass me , or standing in the dog crap on the grass while escaping from the beast.

I tend to walk our dog at night shortly before bed. We moved in October 14. It was curiously interesting in a geeky way to walk the dog picking areas of Waverley that I didn't know, and go exploring. I soon learned the layout, different house designs, street names etc and it has been fascinating to see the development well develop over time.

It looks like they will be building a left hand filter lane so if you want to go towards the parkway you can miss out the morrisons roundabout altogether. Only time will tell just how successful it will be but I'm sure it will help. If they stick to the original schedule then it should be completed by mid January...seems unlikely but hopefully by spring time it should be sorted.

Anyone else had the letter from Harworth saying they want to expand the AMP roundabout? One set of roadworks ends; another begins!

Yeah just had the same letter. Interesting to see the proposed routes for the roads faded on the diagram, looks like there's going to be another exit off the round about in and around the amrc.
