I will be annoyed if it comes down Bradfield Way since that's going against the plan and not what we signed up for. At least the people on Lescar Road have bought their houses in the knowledge that it is likely to be a bus route. As winterfell says though I'd rather it didn't come into the estate at all. High Field Lane is hardly far to walk. But the plan doesn't show the final bus route using Lescar Road. Unless I've lost sense of direction (which does happen, frequently!), the route is marked for the next road over from Lescar, which hasn't been laid yet...

Seems like Harworth/RMBC have cocked up again then because I can't imagine a road being laid for a bus in the next month so it'll end up going down a road which it wasn't planned to, in which case where was the public consultation???

Do we really need a bus to come on to the estate when there are two stops within a short walking distance of the estate. I can see this ending badly as either the bus will get blocked, due to badly parked cars, or it will end up scraping a parked vehicle.

It's not a short walk to the current bus stops and it's only going to get further once the muddy path gets closed.

10 minutes might be considered a short walk to someone fit but not someone with limited mobility. Plus do you really want a ten minute walk on cold and rainy January morning in the dark.

It is more than a mile to the nearest bus stop (72) from our house, and then it doesn't come frequent or efficient enough as I sometimes work evening shifts and my husband likes to use it to go out. What is the point in Harron giving us a year's free bus pass if people don't use it? We are not car people and would like to use/support public transport, but find service(s) so inconvenient.

Just save the money on buses and use that to get it delivered

It only takes me 8 minutes to walk down the red path to the bus stop at catcliffe, it's actually closer for me than the Highfield Spring stop. Having said that, I'm quite looking forward to the bus coming onto the estate. I wonder if the A1 will come down here.

CatCliffe???" unless you mean as the crow flies ;-) Morrisons roundabout to the WG is 0.4miles ;-) So if you happen to live at the top of Stevenson way then 0.5miles is about right ;-) my house on waverley is actually 0.7 miles for morrisons according to Google Maps. either way that is still closer than the 1mile that people are walking to the nearest bus stop ;-)
