More often than not false alarms are caused by dust settling in the detector...just put the vacuum cleaner up to it to remove any dust, shouldn't be any need to replace it ;-)

I've spoke to a electrician today he told me the smoke alarms are cheap that we have fitted. He advised us to replace them with a better one. : (

Did you guys ever resolve this or has the problem just gone away? Ours have been going off randomly the past few days. 1.30 in the morning last night! :-(

Ours played up a few weeks after moving in. I told the electricians and they happily came and swapped them out.

Find the electricians on site and ask for replacements they sorted it no problem for me.
