Is anyone else having issues with a boggy garden? The soil is higher than the damp course in tv garage.
Just had a gardener out and he says that the garden is awful bodge job. No drainage, on a slope!
Any advice?
Lucy

You have to push them for proper drainage. We moved in at xmas and our garden was a lake. Our garage flooded in the first few days and we are still on with it. All gardens on here need proper drainage as the ones with turf already laid when moved in they will be boggy come next winter as they like to cover stuff up. Harron admitted loads of times that all gardens need drainage but it's more expense to them.
Get them to dig down and lay drainage pipes, mix the soil in with gravel and sand and it will be fine. They have still got our front garden to do yet xx

Likewise... Although it will be difficult to A) get them to accept responsibility B) get them to fix it properly

Hi Lucy
I hope that you are keeping well.
I'm not sure why your garden is higher than the damp course, we don't have that issue.
We had problems with a boggy garden and someone(Not Harron)have been in to sort it for us. We have had all this rain and no repeat issues. I would raise it with Oliver and he will get someone on it.
With regards to the slope, not much can be done about that as it seems to be a common thing on our road, I was meant to be having our garden turned over and flattened (said last week and never turned up, said this week and as of 12.20pm today, they still hadn't arrived) so have had to push back a turf delivery as that was my job for this weekend.
Best thing is to raise it with Oliver and I'm sure he will sort it.
Let me know if you need anything. Cheers Gemma

Yes he took over about 2-3 weeks ago from Matt, Matt has been moved to focus on upcoming projects and Oliver has been recruited for the customer service side of things.
Do you have Oliver's contact details?
Just to give you peace of mind, Oliver is really helpful and I raised the garden issue with him 2 weeks ago and it has been fully resolved this afternoon. Had a txt from my other half saying that they have done the work and it looks OK.
Cheers Gemma

We are next door to Lucy and our garden is awful, our garage has flooded because the grass is 2-3 bricks higher at the back and water is seeping in. we've raised it with Harron and will be doing so again and again until it's fixed as we didn't buy a house with a garage not to be able to use the garage because of flooding

Ours completely flooded right to the back of the garage as they haven't done the floor or the drive right and we are still waiting after endless promises xx

Hi everyone. We've just bought plot 260 (number 15) and I'm so glad we've found this website. Will we have a problem with our garden too? I know the house is still being built so expect the garden is full of diggers right now.

All gardens need proper drainage on here, it's a massive problem. We've had ours done and it's 100% better. If you have a walk on the field behind the houses you will get a feel for what the garden will be like xx

Yes we have walked on the big field to get a better look at the house going up. it was very sludgy. Did you get someone else to do your drainage or did Harron do this for you?
