We pressured Harron to do it as it was really bad. They first put one pipe and said thats nowhere near good enough. Pressured them more and they then dug down round the garden and put them all round the garden. It drains straight away now no sludgy parts or anywhere holding water it drains straight through. They've still to do our front as that's a big pond when it rains. Ideally every house on here needs it as its thick clay soil it's awful and water settles on top. I would push for it doing xx

I'm quite concerned about this. I've been to site today and the Herras fencing was being moved down to open the road to our house (plot 249), so I managed to sneak around that back and noticed there was standing water on top of the soil. We have 2 dogs so this is going to be a real issue for us if not resolved. And we've paid for turf to be laid and I imagine it won't take too well if it's laid in water logged clay. Not to mention if it has to be ripped up to put drainage in.

This was our problem as we have two big dogs and when we turned up to move in we couldn't believe turf wasnt down after weeks of telling them that we have two big dogs. They obviously couldn't lay it because of the big lake in the garden but said it was down to having loads of rain which while they were building our house we could see in our garden from the back and the water had always been sat there whether it rained or not.
You really need drainage in as they try to cover it over with turf so you won't know the extent of the problem until next winter now when it becomes really boggy. Xx

I'm going to contact our site manager Monday. We don't complete until the end of the month so he's got plenty of time to get it sorted (hopefully).
