Hi rich,
Myself, Duncan and the handsworth road hogs are meeting at the cross keys at handsworth at 5.45 on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of a run on the gala day.
Just thought i'd let you know in case you wanted to come along.
Cheers Paul

Hiya, Please see my WWaverley run group thread, was wondering if I could have a stall/stand to drum up some buisness for this, thought it would tie in well with the 5k.

Hi Kate,
A running club for the Waverley estate is a great idea, and one which I would love to get involved with.
However, the handsworth roadhogs are putting lots of time and effort in helping organise the Waverley Dash, and I know they have agreed that they can have a stall at the gala to try and drum up some members off the back of it.
I'm all for giving people freedom of choice, but I think the road hogs would probably feel a little 'put out' if there was another running stall there this year after they had done all the work for the run. I don't think I could have arranged the event without their help so I do feel a little protective of them :-)

Absolutely understand that wouldnt want to put anyone out. The group id like to set up would be for new runners so maybe those who are confident to join an established group but thats fine. I will still endevor to have a presence at the 5k and full support handsworth.

Good news, The Winter Green have agreed to sponsor the event which will mean that we can use it as an anchor point for the day. We also have support from all 3 housebuilders.
We're having a meeting in the pub next Wednesday to discuss the finer details. Is there anyone that would want to run a stall on the day? I know a couple of people have mentioned it so now is the time to say if you do.

We could do with some more people to take out a stall at the gala. Any interest?

Nothing that sells food or drink, that's the pubs domain, but anything else goes I suppose.
Think we have charities sorted, I was just asked to ask if any residents would like a stall.

Quick question , gala tomorrow shouldn't there be stuff being fixed up like big tents like last year , looked out of window this morning and nothing , is it somewhere else?
