Looks like they've got a specialist retail developer on board with Dransfield properties this time. Brand bingo anyone? Spar, Greggs, Costa, Subway and KFC are my punts.

Can't wait to see what shops etc are proposed! So exciting. I personally would like a shop within walking distance for milk, bread, papers etc.

I prefer my tofu to be crocheted so I really hope it's not the hand knitted tofu shop. Plus I heard they don't us bio-degradable knitting needles

It really pi&&es me off that we are always the last to know about this stuff. It is a good job we have residents located in the business parks etc or we would barely get any time to mobilise ourselves. Or perhaps that is the intention.....

This was alluded to at the meeting for the school I attended. I'm definitely looking forward to finding out more about this.
Unfortunately I think it will be a lot of the typically branded stuff I.e. KFC, Gregg's etc... As they're the sort of big business that can take the risk in a completely new area. But in all honesty I'm just looking forward to having a more accessible shop. A little co-op would be nice IMO.

Did anyone notice on the Waverley School presentation that there was an updated plan of the estate on one of the first slides, which includes the recently approved new harron homes plots, plus a layout of the local centre. Just my guess, but i reckon that the layout of the local centre isnt just an indicative layout, I'd guess that this actually uses the latest layout that we havent seen yet. It just looks too detailed to be indicative. Attachments:

Duncan made me aware of this revised development (just shops and no flats) when I collared him at the school consultation. If the shops are anywhere near to the standard of those at Fox Valley, I will be very pleased. Oh, can we have an independent coffee shop, please?
