Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had issues with movement of their bathtub? I've resealed mine 3 times now and changed my bedroom round yesterday and found lovely damp skirting boards on the wall adjoining the bathroom. Surely there is something wrong with the stability of the bath? ?

Did you fill the bath with water before sealing?

Ours dropped a couple times but no damp. Currently struggling with the water not being hot enough.

I think you can turn the water temperature up on your boiler.

Yes I did fill it before sealing but I'm doubting the plumbers did! Had a leak through kitchen ceiling from under bath 2 when we first moved in. I also have the water temp issue and the boiler is turned up. I find that if I run the sink tap for a minute at the same time as the bath tap then turn sink tap off it improves

not sure if yours is the same but our bath has a temperature regulator under the bath attached to the hot water pipe that also feeds cold water in to limit the temperature, i'm assuming as a safety measure to stop kids burning themselves ect, you could have a look and adjust it accordingly.

It is a safety measure. I had ours turned up by Harron's plumber.

Since mid August the bath has been sealed twice by TW and it needs to be resealed again. We also had a leak from first floor bathroom into kitchen on the second day we moved in. The fault was a malformed seal that wasn't picked up when they first tested the bath. I don't know why it failed after testing though. The plumber TW provided couldn't provide a reason for this.

Sounds exactly the same as the problem we had when we moved in. Good plumbing eh? Think I may just get my own plumber in to get it all looked at.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had issues with movement of their bathtub? I've resealed mine 3 times now and changed my bedroom round yesterday and found lovely damp skirting boards on the wall adjoining the bathroom. Surely there is something wrong with the stability of the bath? ? We had an issue with water leaking from somewhere near the bath as the skirting had expanded and the flooring was becoming discoloured in patches. TW came and changed the skirting and resealed the bath putting new flooring on order. We want a new shower in the en-suite as the electric shower is too weak, our plumber had a look under the bath for alternative options. He pointed out that TW had stood the feet of the bath on skirting board, the groove parts which lead to the legs standing at an angle, he also mentioned they had missed putting in supporting wood uprights (I can't remember the name for the part) to stop movement. The plumber seemed to think this is causing the water to leak through the seal, as the bath is moving when in use! I feel so much better having a plumber identify these issues for us, and we can now ask TW to put them right. I never would have thought to take the bath front off and have a look, even I would know fixing feet on an uneven bit of wood would be no good. Have a look under your bath and see you have a similar problem with skirting board being used?
