Out of interest has any one else had problems with the installed chrome door handles? A few of them in our home have now suffered with the same problem - becoming stuck or difficult to turn (particularly for children).
I've been able to fix them simply by taking off the door handles, taking out the barrel and giving it a good clean, a quick oil and then putting back together. But it's less than ideal that they're suffering after just 12 months.
If anyone else has had similar problems it would be useful to know if I've just got a bad batch or if it's more of a fault with the handles generally.

Like you say, taking it off for a quick clean seems to fix it.

Just tell Harron it's faulty and get them to replace it, although I can imagine that being more of a bind than cleaning it yourself!

I did think of that, but decided it would be quicker, easier, and less painful to take them apart, see what was wrong, and once recognised the problem clean and put back together myself. A 10 minute job on each handle. I would have spent much longer than that chasing with phone calls and emails to get it done by Harron

A 10 minute job on each handle. I would have spent much longer than that chasing with phone calls and emails to get it done by Harron I refuse to fix things myself that are in warranty, that's what it's there for and it's a limited time anyway so I'll have the rest of my life to fix things when the warranty expires :-). If you have to clean it after a year it sounds like you'll have to continue cleaning it regularly so in that case I'd rather get it replaced for a brand new one that isn't faulty. None of my handles have had the problem you describe so it sounds like it's a faulty batch unless it's a different handle altogether.
