Hmmm,
Not sure I'm that keen on the idea.
I quite like the idea of the open field there. Makes this development feel a little bit rural even though it's not.
Plus it would cause a traffic nightmare with another half waverley in the area.
And finally there is still so much brown field sites in Sheffield so why build on a green field site?

Looks good to me. A primary school, railway station, health centre and convenience store. It might make it happen more quickly over here if they think there could be some competition

I like how they have the sports hub already planned in, unlike the still long awaited children's recreation area in Waverley ... come on Harworth get your finger out!

Hi bish All the sports pitches (except in the school grounds) that it shows over that side are already there and in use at the moment.

Looks pretty cool all that although I'm with Chris on the traffic side of things. Both Handsworth top and Highfield Spring are rammed at rush hour and they're the only two routes onto the parkway without going out of the way. It'd be great though if they could adapt the existing railway line so that trams could service Darnall, Waverley/Handsworth and Woodhouse.

Looks pretty good, however, I have my concerns about the added traffic this would bring to the already heavily congested roads here and at Handsworth.
Supertram have not got tram-trains that can use existing railway lines, earmarked for use between Sheffield and Rotherham, eventually. Maybe this is something they could utilise for the under used line at the side of Highfield Spring.
