Marston’s construction begins at Waverley
Tuesday 04th March 2014
Planning was granted late in 2013 for a 7,700 sq. ft new build pub and restaurant on land between the first phase of housing (completed by Harron Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Barratts) and the Advanced Manufacturing Park. The pub will have enough space for 180 covers, 59 parking spaces, an outdoor play area and the first phase of housing. The pub is the second piece of community infrastructure to be constructed after the completion of a local play area last year and should be completed by the Summer. Construction is running in parallel to the building at Waverley of the second phase of new homes on-site and R-evolution – Yorkshire’s first speculative development scheme since the downturn.
Duncan Armstrong-Payne, Development Manager for the Waverley scheme, commented: “We’re delighted that Marston’s received planning permission for their new pub and restaurant and it marks yet another milestone in the success of the development. Our vision for Waverley is fast becoming reality.”
