Would you like your own section of the board? You're beginning to clog the General board with these threads

I appreciate you bringing my mail when it was sent to your address some weeks ago but I understand your frustration. I feel that Royal Mail need to do something though. You could be getting other people's mail for years to come if it is left as it is.
In my case, as I explained to you at the time, I never entered your address but I know that when I tried to order my fridge from within a Curry's store they only had your address on their system. I obviosuly never completed the order but somehow they still recorded your address as mine...
That is obviously Curry's fault for recording an address that we both knew was not right but I know there were other retailers and websites with the same issue. You won't be able to stop all these different businesses etc from sending it to the wrong address but Royal Mail.may be able to halt these letters in the first place.

Just wondering whether in cases like this Harworth could help out since they will have the name and address of everyone living on the estate? Data protection may be an issue though.

Teddy... I think your home must be a default on systems... Might be to do with the PAF system royal mail use... Maybe try contacting them?

The problem is that Teddy's address was the first registered with Royal Mail at this post code by some distance. Therefore if you go to a shop that has not updated their postcode database in the past few months when you search for S60 ***, the only address available on that street is Teddy's.
It happened to me just yesterday when I went to Oak Furniture Land to buy a new dining table. First Teddy's was the only address on their system and they had to manually edit it to my address.

I've spoken to the postman and he puts any names that he recognises through the right doors when he notices. He doesnt always do his own round though and if we get cover/agency staff on the round we get everything through the door regardless. As Neilp said we were the first to register our postcode but whenever we purchase anything online now we always get a choice of about a dozen addresses so other addresses are available.
I asked at the developers sales offices if they recognise the names and if they can pass on any letters to names they recognise without having to breach data protection and give me any info.
