Hi Fellow cyclists Has anyone on the estate got a bike carry bag similar to this - Bike Bagthat i could kindly borrow in a couple of weeks for a weekend? I had one on loan but its looking like this has fallen though. i'm taking part in Ride London in a couple of weeks and want to put the bike in a bag so that i can store in my hotel room without the hotel complaining about getting mud and oil everywhere. If not i will have to stop being a tight arse and buy one Thanks Chris

Alright Chris, when I did it last year the hotel (Hilton) I stayed in said just bring a towel to put down to prevent any damage to the carpets. There were loads of people doing the ride staying there too so didn't have to fork out for a bag :-). Might be worth asking them before splashing out unless you already have lol.

I did this the other year and was allowed to store my bike in my hotel room. There were loads of others doing the same. If all else fails you could ask for the bike to be stored in a storeroom.

Cool good to know :-) i did think that i wouldn't be the only one doing it, but just wasn't sure how funny they would get me willing a bike through the hotel, sounds like they are used to it by now :-) but now it will be in a big suitcase so no one should have an issue now....unless i'm on the 15th floor and the lift is broken, lol Looking forward to it though, just need to get the last minute training in now :-)

I wasn't until the morning of the ride that I realised there were many others doing the same. Every person I saw in the hotel that morning had a bike. 30 or so all clambering on their bikes outside the main entrance. Good luck with the ride. Hope the weather holds. We had flashfloods last year. In parts we were cycling knee deep in flood water. It was fun

I'm hoping for good weather as i'm not sure my low friction seal hub bearings will like standing water.
