I'm just going to love living at Waverley, I love the whole community thing that you have going on there. Count me in. ;-) Is there a subtle prejudice from owners from different developers?

Is there a subtle prejudice from owners from different developers? Are you hinting at the cliques mentioned in another thread Luke?

Someone mentioned about liking the community spirit, perhaps on a different thread. It's great if there is one. It's missing from most neighbourhoods which is a great shame

I can't honestly say I've read any of the classics (apart from at school/college which was a very long time ago), or the Discworld series but I do have an eclectic taste in books. My current favourite is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (don't knock them until you have read them, they are beautifully written). I'm happy to try anything. As for the knitting, I can knit but haven't since my eldest son was a baby 17 years ago. I'm guessing it's like riding a bike, you never forget. I like baking too but I'm not sure you should ask my kids for a reference :-)

It's very different to where we live at the moment where I know 4 people directly around us and we have no idea what is happening in the community.

I'm not a massive reader infact I haven't read a book fully since school. However if it's a short book to start with maybe I could start to enjoy. I like the other side definitely tho, like the knitting and baking. There's a few knitting projeta that need to be finished

I understand what you mean. I knew very few people on my last street. I've not been here long but I love the location and my neighbours are nice. I dare say with time will come more connections

I think I'll give these a miss!! Bake, knit and natter not your thing then? To be honest never really baked. I do enjoy reading but only find the time on holiday. Just read 'I am NOT a Gangster' and 'American Sniper', last holiday read Ranulph Fiennes - Mad, Bad & Dangerous to know' and Running With The Firm. 4 fantastic non-fiction books - IMHO. Over the week though normally time is taken through family, work, gym, football, running, mountain biking and road biking - to a degree! So it's more of you can't do everything in afraid! All of the above include a good natter! Sorry Sarah that the threads gone off kilter a little bit happy to receive any recommendations of books on the same genre as the 4 above! Thanks, Dave.

I can also recommend Always Managing: My Autobiography by Harry Redknapp if you enjoy football!

Not normally the types of books I read. However I am currently reading Hunter S. Thompson - Hells Angel's. That is really good! You might enjoy that

Always good to diversify a little! The missus reads the Lee Child 'Jack Reacher' books and loves them, also latest was The Woman Who Stole My Life which she enjoyed - again all holiday reading!

I don't read very often but from what I can remember there is a book called the vanished man I think by jeffwry deaver that I really enjoyed. And its a bit soppy but I really liked the time travellers wife book. Film was s**t though IMO. I used to enjor reading but find it really addictive, usually dominates everything I do until I finish it.
