I want to buy some additional paving slabs so I can extend my patio. I've found out from Harron the type of slab but they want to charge £8 per slab. I've found them on ebay at £4 per slab but they are selling them in lots of 40. I don't think I'll need that many so does anyone want to go halves with me? link is here

Hi Rich, I've just been to JTF. They have the slabs 45x45 cm for 3.59£ and you can buy as many as you want. Hope that helps?

Hi lumar, Funny you should mention that as I downloaded the gardening flyer from their website today and saw some slabs which look exactly the same. I was going to go down at some point to check them out but you've saved me a trip, cheers! . Think I'll pick some up at the weekend.

Ignore my link above. These are 45x45 whereas the slabs Harron have used are 60x60, should have checked this first. Seems like the £8 per slab Harron want is quite competitive afterall. Also I couldn't find any at JTF when I went.

Hi Rich, we got some from Keyline builders merchants. Can't remember what we paid for them though.

We got a bit carried away and replaced the concrete slabs with indian sandstone. It was a bit (!) more than £8 a slab but I think it's worth it. We got it all from Hardcores:- www.hardcoresonline.co.uk/Various options on display there - I advise a trip down there to have a look before jumping into anything. It needs someone who knows what they're doing to lay it and do the proper resin joints, I would strongly recommend the guy who did mine, competitive prices and quality work.

If anyone is doing any work in their garden that involves pulling up the slabs that Harron have laid, let me know, as I'd be interested in buying them off you.

The guy who did our garden was Olli Willoughby 07971167667 (not holly!) Still really pleased with it.

If I can get round to it I'll get some pictures up on here of his handywork. I've known him for 20 years and can vouch for his character (mostly!)
I should be on a commission!

Ollie did our garden too. Nice lad, very reasonable prices. Looking forward to getting out onto the decking this summer.

I was wondering what to do with our rear garden, I thought about extending the patio (if you could call it that) however I think ultimately I would like decking. Does anyone have any pictures of recent garden work ? I also have absolutely no idea in terms of cost? (Ball park figure if anyone could suggest). Many thanks
