Hi lisanneil It's worth reading the thread (and the link given in there) with the title 'a really interesting read'. It's a while since I read it myself but I will be definitely reading it again before we move. Good luck on Friday.

Just make sure that you have lots and lots of pages in your notepad, you'll need them! If it's your "home demonstration" as they call it now, they'll be more interested in making sure your big ticket items are all present and correct. On moving in day have a really good look at stuff that could be chipped or cracked or scratched such as tiles, windows, work tops and sanitary ware that they won't take responsibility for at a later date. Everything else you'll notice gradually as time goes by and they're happy to add it to the list. Most of all enjoy your new home and happy moving

We signed the documents in the solicitors on Friday. They did say that any identified snags would be dealt with within a "reasonable timeframe". What's reasonable? I've read some posts on here of people waiting months, is that normal? Knowing us, as we'll be so excited about moving in im sure we'll miss something. We're currently considering using a professional snagger. Seen them online for £350 for a 4 bed house. I think its pretty reasonable as they go round the house inside and out with a 'fine toothed comb" Here is one site amongst many www.construction.co.uk/company_515750.htm
