I've already seen one owner contemplating legal action against HH for lack of movement on snagging and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced bad customer service from HH? I know we have!
Since we signed all legal documents it's been lies and backtracking on their behalf, especially from head office!

We've had nothing but issues with HH. We have threatened to pull out of the purchase but they aren't bothered... They just said they will re-market the property. Making me think what will they be like when we actually move in and there are issues.

Awful customer service from head office! Have now reported our dodgy front door 4 times and still nothing. I said I was worried that one day I wouldn't be able to get in my house and the woman just said "well if that happens then just send us the locksmiths bill" ....erm, that wasn't my point. I was kinda thinking it shouldn't get to that point in the first place!!

Hi there, We moved into a HH before Christmas and had a few snags come up on our first few weeks, but nothing major or unexpected (things like some small cracks from the plaster work, kitchen doors not hung totally flush).
So far HH have been really good with us,they've responded to calls within a couple of days, and spent the day at mine a few weeks ago just sorting out the snags.
Seems like people have had mixed responses with HH which is a shame, but so far so good for me.

They have been shocking with us! An overall bad attitude and arrogance from the sales team at Head Office and one former member of the sales team on-site was simply useless. So far we have visited site 5 times for our choices, due to previous notes going missing, pricing not confirmed etc etc 'Janet' at Head office simply doesn't care about complaints and only promises of internal investigations which obviously isn't the care given the staff on-site are non the wiser!! Some internal investigation

We had similar issues when selecting our extras, we were given incorrect information or none at all. We were told that something was standard then on our next visit it's an upgrade and would cost us extra. The whole process needs looking at, its a farce!
My biggest gripe is with Head Office and I totally agree with you, they are rude and arrogant. So not a good experience all in all and knowing what I do now I wish I had steered clear of HH, this company doesn't deserve my custom and they try to make you feel like they are doing you a favour by selling you the house :S

Hi, we have had no end of problems which Harron are yet to sort out. Been here almost a year now and there is still outstanding issues which should have been sorted before we even moved in.
I'm absolutely disgusted now with the way we have been treat and I really hope someone shows them up by taking them to court.
We have had to have windows replaced, with the contractor remanufacturing one of our windows wrong on 4 separate occasions so this is still not sorted out.
The latest problem is our kitchen flooring which started to wave, so this has been replaced and is now worse than it was before so it has to be sorted out again.
Plus a huge list of things that have arisen through pure carelessness (wiring up our central heating controls up backwards for example).
You always expect the odd bit of snagging but this is getting beyond a joke now.
Customer service won't take responsibility for anything and blame everything on the contractors.
Couldn't fault Harron in the buying process as they bent over backwards to sell us our home, but now they have the sale they just don't care any more. The spec of the homes at Harron are top class, its just a shame they don't follow up this up with the after care service.
I really feel for everyone who is going through similar issues!

I'm not a harron customer but I wonder if they know about this forum and the potential buyers that are looking in on this forum , I know people in tw sales office are aware of the complaints and I wonder because their houses are a nice price with quality specs they are going downmarket on contractors or paying a low rate because their houses are expensive ,who knows . Out of pure interest how much is their cheapest home ?

I've emailed Harron sales office, head office and PR Director to tell then about the forum. I'm sure someone will have seen it. That said I've seen entire websites dedicated to Barratt and TW so maybe they just shrug it off?
Harron aren't the only ones who have had incompetent contractors but they should still sort it out.

Yeah your right about the websites which is why I for a little while pre contracts was a little bit wary but what you have to consider is that tw and barrats are along with persimmon are the biggest national house builders building thousands of units per year so the scope for problems is bigger but you don't hear all or any stories of people being happy it's just people's bad experiences and you cannot please everyone , the proof is this forum , what pleases me won't please someone else , . For me it's not just about buying a home you need good customer service to follow so overall judging by how many people are complaining even talking about legal action they have to sort it out

Oh I completely agree mate. I'm very satisfied with Harron and I've made that known because it's only fair that way. I would hope that other satisfied Harron customers would come on here and say so too but I definitely agree that they have got some work to do on the aftersales side.

There are some but on Bradfield way yes but they're concentrating on the 4&5 beds. They're going bigger and better it seems on phase 1b. The Edlingham is a monster at £400k+ and I might take a disliking to whoever moves into it Oh and to answer your previous question, cheapest 4 bed is £229k

No. 1a is what we're living in, 1b is what Harron have started (don't know whether others have), phase 2 land is released this year so building likely to commence late 2014/2015.
See the Waverley page on Harworth website for more info.
