Called up yesterday, asking for Tom, not available, asked for someone else, not available, asked why, all customer service staff contracts had been terminated yesterday.
Don't know if this is a good sign because Harron recognise they need to improve their customer service, or if it's a bad sign, because they don't care!

What did they advise you to do in the meantime? What's the contingency? Who answered the phone if there are no customer service staff? The cleaners probably.... And probably do a better job!!

I was just about to ask the same thing. I know we have jobs pending, really dont want to have to go through the process of explaining everything again when someone has been out already.

Yep. It's back to square one for us. I have a snag list and two specific outstanding queries they I'll now need to re ignite from scratch again.

That's a shame as Tom was actually helpful and remembered what we have outstanding. 2 + years in and I am still waiting for resolution for some issues.

Regrettably Tom was anything but helpful for us.

By helpful I mean calling me back! It's never been good service but he was better than some I've dealt with. Tried them again today and was advised that they are 'revamping' customer service. Don't know if this is a good or bad thing.

The key thing for me now is to have Harron pull their finger out and have a real focus on customer service and fixing these snags. We've had a big problem since Christmas which still hasn't got sorted out. My wife was getting upset. I ended up telephoning customer service and giving them an earful only to then find out they'd all been fired a few days afterwards which now means instead of something happening, nothing at all is.
If there article is anything to go by, at least we can now threaten media complaints if things don't improve.

I had a cracked window on the panel at the side of our front door for 6 months and got totally fed up with nothing happening. I sent an email stating I was going to the Sheffield star if it wasn't sortred withing a week, and the glass got replaced as an emergency repair on Christmas eve. It might not work for everyone, but it worked for me.

We've had no end of issues and no resolution!
Surely with all the delays in fixing snags and restructuring of customer service causing further delays they should extend our 2 years warranty as an apology or good will gesture! But this is Harron Homes - Yorkshires Premier non doers!
I read on a post somewhere else on the forum that the site manager said they just laugh at the comments on this forum! Are they laughing now I wonder or are they going to up their game and ask themselves "If I paid over a quarter of a million for this house would I be happy?" Many of the snags should be sorted before people move in!
