Great stuff... Can I book you in for cutting our grass over the summer months :-) yeah no problem mate, always happy to help the elderly and the frail ;-) For Lazy Buggers, i'm happy to help them as well, but there is a £25 per hour surcharge :-) Give me a few months and I think I'll qualify as elderly!

Are you all paying him £60? You could do it yourselves in 2 minutes, very easy, honestly. Just buy your desired lock from a reputable locksmith / DIY depot (around £30-£40). Re. the Harron Homes doors, can anyone recommend a product which would replace the thumbturn? I can then order it and fit it myself, cheers.

I got a Yale AS Series Euro Profile Cylinder. Just make sure it's 30/10/30 (70mm) and maximum security. It was about £40 from B&Q. Think it was this one

If you drill holes in your garage door that'll be your warranty down the pan. You'd be better off installing a floor mounted device with a circular haspless padlock, that's the route I'm taking with the padlock and the lock cylinder keyed alike so I don't have to mess about with multiple keys.

I checked with the door company and no warranty issues installing the Enfield type locks, only the locking and up and over mechanism is under warranty - I looked at the floor mounted devices but general consensus was that peeling the corners is the choice method of entry and they didn't appear to help preventing that as they were centrally located.

I got a Patlock for my patio doors. It was featured on one of those daytime shows. Took some searching on the web as the show was on the bbc and of course they can't do ads but it's easy to fit and was recommended.

Ours is a Garador and its plastered in stickers saying don't do this, don't do that. They even try to restrict the number of times opening and closing of the door to 5 a day., more than that is classed as excessive but who's counting?

Does anybody know where you can get spare keys for the euro locks? I think there might be a place in Attercliffe but not sure.
