I'm in a Easton and just had some extra kitchen units fitted above sink that attaches to existing units , well pleased and more storage , a few months back a flyer came through advertising soft closing latches so I decided to get some as I was tired of my missus slamming cupboard doors , this guy works on site and does other stuff when he's done , so he can match units up as he works for the company who Tw and Barrets are using for their kitchens , I can recommend this guy , the soft closing are quality , he does shelvings to match your units , tiling , lighting , very happy!

I'm also very happy... as I got soft closing latches with my house :-)
However, I've now been in four and a half months and I'm still waiting for them to give me a soft closing latch for a cupboard that they missed.
Harron customer service is absolutely shocking at the moment.
Emailed and called on a number of occasions with absolutely no response until today, when I had to almost shout down the phone at them!
Still a few things I want sorting from when we moved in. It's quite obvious that they're more interested in shoving people into the new houses at present!

Hi Paul, We're moving into a Harron home this week, do you (or anyone else) have any tips on snags to look out for? Are there any common issues to look out for or things that are easy to miss? Also, how far do people go in terms of pointing things out? Its so hard to know what to expect and what is reasonable and what you should/could ask to be looked at Thanks

lauradora Firstly check your big ticket items that you have installed or purchased, cooker, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, kitchen cabinets, kitchen surfaces. You need to snag these with the sales handover lady present so that they are witness. Otherwise they will have the potential to suggest you damaged after moving in. You have a bit more time to snag lower ticket items. Just make sure you keep a list and once you're happy you've got everything you email a copy over to customer services. Check every room, all the windows, tiling, taps, showers, toilets, sealing trims, paint work and plaster work, particularly around doors and windows, if you don't have tiles in your kitchen check to ensure concrete under your flooring goes right to the end of the bay window or patio doors, this can be a real problem if not completed if you decide to tile later. We have a problem with this! Also we had no sealant around our taps or sinks. No sealant around our flooring to the tiles on the wall. Bath sealant was broken as they must have done so without filling the bath with water. Generally speaking though the house / build quality I was very pleased with! No new house is going to be free from snags. Enjoy your new home and welcome to the community. Which street are you moving on to?

Bish has pretty much covered everything really.
But just be extra careful with checking for cracked windows and marks to sinks etc. We had a few of these and are STILL waiting for them to be sorted.
Most things are common sense really and you will probably identify lots of things over the first few weeks.
I'd suggest keeping a spreadsheet of all issues and when they get fixed. We did this, and we emailed it back to Harron every time something had been looked at. We have a really good audit trail of everything just in case we need it in the future!
Welcome to the estate... I'm guessing you will be moving into one of the plots that looks over the wonderful view of the building site :-) We'll give you a wave at the weekend as your removal van passes our door!

Yeah... I appreciate that (thanks for SHOUTING IN CAPS)... But I'm afraid the Harron area is currently full due to the amount of posts regarding their quality of service, so I'm afraid I've had to spill over into this area!
Admin: please could you increase the disk space for the Harron area to 10 Terra Bytes as I think we're gonna need it!

Hi, Do you have any contact details for the guy who did your units? We're looking to get some more added as well but don't remember ever seeing a flyer come round (might be before we moved in!)
