Now the weather has turned and the builders are on to the mud at the bottom end of Harron Bradfield Way and Ashbourne Way are filthy. My car looks as if I'm doing doughnuts on a field every day. Anyone any idea when it'll be cleared down and Tarmac finished off? These bumps in the road near the Harron's storeage yard are no good for my low profiles.
Also we could do with some street lamps at the bottom end.

I'd guess we're gonna have this at least until the houses are built in the area behind the kinnersleys at at the corner of Ashbourne way. There's about 20 houses to go there any they haven't even been started yet! I just hope that when they move across to phase E (which is the other side of the road down towards the lakes) that they move the site office... If not it could be like this for a good couple more years! :-(

They probably won't Tarmac yet as too much activity, they do have a street cleaner vehicle in action but it's not working well enough by the looks of it... Or it's just an impossible job as it gets dirty straight after... But no excuses to be had about the street lamps... They should be everywhere where there is open public access and residents

Hopefully not as long as a couple years. I'll keep dropping requests in to Gary and Russ. They seem ok.
Street lights are much needed. I'm surprised they haven't been erected before residents moved in, even though The roads aren't yet complete. Along Ashbourne way with the builds just completed Harron have laid the new pathway. I'm kinda wondering why lamps haven't gone in beforehand when it would have been much easier.
Is it Harron who install street lamps or the council?

You can try Rotherham Street Pride, but i hear they are pretty useless.
It is Haron Homes responsibility to install lighting on their development. I have had several conversations about the lack of lighting in our cul-de-sac and it looks like we will have to live with Pitch Black during the winter months!

I've just enquired about street lighting in our cul-de-sac. Along with the unfinished ground it makes it quite treacherous to walk on, especially after a few pints!

Funny how Harworth were able to install lights that work on the new road below Bradfield Way yet Harron have had over a year to get them working but still haven't, more like they can't be bothered!
Same with the dirty road and site office Harron seem to think that when you buy a house you want to live with them for the next two years!
Doesn't seem to affect their sales though as people seem to put perceived build quality ahead of the other builders on here...............

I've never been in or seen a TW or B home so I can't comment. I've heard it before but not sure how accurate it is.

In my opinion the Harron houses look good but are poorly built the other two don't look as nice but seem to have happier owners!

In my opinion the Harron houses look good but are poorly built the other two don't look as nice but seem to have happier owners! I think people make a lot of comments about build quality, like one is premier league and one is non-league, but in reality there is hardly a jot of difference in the underlying build quality, which has to pass the NHBC build quality inspection. Where there appears to be a difference is in the finish and the care taken over it. HH by comments on here have taken less care over some aspects, an then been slow to rectify the snags... The other builders also have snags though it appears not as many and are normally quicker to resolve. However TW and B are not perfect, many homeowners across the country have nightmares with them. I researched loads before buying, i visited every builder, I read every post on here too, and also spoke to some people on the estate, and in the end of that process I bought via Harron.

ive said all along about you picking a builder that best fits , I bought tw as I've said and I too did some research about tw and yep there's loads of nightmares online about their homes as there is with barrats and harron in fact EVERY builder has someone who thinks they are shit , if you look at different show homes from a number of builders like I have ( I've been in loads over last year) they are all the same they all sound the same when you knock on the walls , heating systems the same , layouts very similar , building methods the same, the only thing that's different is the builders name on the sales office ( which again all look the same) , i was in tw sales last year and in popped someone from harron to drop off a new brochure for a HH and I asked why that just happened and was told they all share with. Each other information regarding their homes for what reason I don't know , I'm an ultra happy tw owner and yes I have snags , but nowts perfect in this life especially when it's been hand built , it's how they deal with the issue that's important

There's something wrong at Anfield , there's unrest among fans wanting BR to get the chop , I'm hoping this doesn't happen but I think if we lose to ludogorets then to Man U , I think he's done , word on the street is Klopp and when there's rumours going round it tends to end only one way I'm afraid
