Hi everyone. I'm hoping to put a deposit down on a TW property at Waverley shortly. Just wondered if anyone was able to she's any light on the 'optional extras' that were available (above and beyond what is included in the original purchase price of the property)?
Are things like fitted wardrobes, astro turf etc offered?
Many thanks in advance for any responses.

I don't know about Taylor Wimpy, but we certainly spent a good chunk of cash with Harron on extras! At first you think you won't need any extras, and then you start getting swept away with the magic of buying a new house and you end up picking almost everything :-)

I bought from Taylor Wimpey and there was a big list of what was available including extra sockets( a must) shaving point, carpets, extra TV aerial points if not having cable, and fencing and turfing the lawn. I wasn't impressed with the wardrobes on offer so I had mine done by Sharps. Expensive but well worth it! Ask Claire, she will go through what is available when you choose the basics like tap types, cupboard fronts etc

Just bricks , mortar, windows, plug sockets, doors , sinks, baths and taps the rest you've gotta to buy yourself, I'm in a Tw home and my advice to you is haggle hard for extras as part of the deal , everyone gets some sort of extras thrown in . If I did it all again the one thing I would have is a tiled kitchen floor , we just went with standard vinyl and it's ok until my son drops his toy trains off table and dents the floor !!!!!

We're about to purchase a home with Taylor Wimpey and we were looking at the optional extra's. Just curious as to how you pay for these? Are they added to the mortgage or do you have to pay up front when you order them? Thanks in advance

Yep - you pay upfront on completion. It's not added to mortgage.
