They are to prevent double parking this week whilst the lowloaders get access to install the Waverley foghorn. The base is already installed down by the lake, they are turning right at the bottom of Oak Dene Way so they can take a flatter route.

The Jin Tan Lead Marine foghorn will be delivered in the last quarter of 2016, and commissioned in weeks 3 and 4 of 2017. The >138 decibel horn is widely considered one of the best in its category, ideal for fog prone areas such as the conditions found on Lake Wakerley.

It operates at a frequency of 664khz, has an integrated power amplifier and will be coupled with an Avimar fog detector, with a view to trialling automated operation during 2017, with full automation predicted by 2018.

Is that to ensure there are no shipping disasters on the lake?

Couldn't we have saved the money and just used JTF's alarm instead.
