If you have paid for the Sky Installation package with Harron (£400 approx) it might be worth checking that you have got what you paid for. We recently had a Sky Engineer out to install a new box and he noticed that we only had a sky signal in a couple of the rooms and that we were missing the Octoport that is required on the dish to received 4 separate signals, which is what you are paying for in the package.
Harron are sorting this out now but only because we noticed it!

We had a similar situation with Harron but through Virgin Media. We requested the TV points to be moved, which they were, but the Virgin Media panel on the wall wasn't. So we had to have an additional VM panel put in when the guy came to install. Also, we were never told that the VM service would not work with the existing telephone socket in the hallway, so we had to have an additional telephone socket next to the new VM panel in our living room. All a bit messy really and we now have things on the walls that serve no purpose. Would have been nice to know this beforehand.

Ah this is interesting. We have paid for the Sky installation package but, as yet, are not planning on adding multi-room, how would we know whether or not the signal is in all the rooms as paid for? Any ideas? Or would we need to call a Sky engineer out to check? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know how you would check without having a sky engineer out. We got a free upgrade to the hd box which they came out to set up and I just happened to mention it and it went from there. I would email Harron and ask them to confirm it's all been done properly. Lisa Cooke at customer services is aware of our problem so she'll probably be able to sort it out for you too.

Brilliant. Thank you very much. We'll get on to her and see if she can tell us whether we're all set.

We have just discovered that one of our Sky points is not active ... Worth checking if you haven't done already! Just plug a sky box into the points as well as a TV, bit of a chew but glad we checked!!
