Does anyone know how many social homes there are on Phase 3? The sales office told me there were only 4 but some builder told me the other day that there are 8! All on one road.

I thought it was meant to be 4 on the bottom road. Didn't realise there's some already though.

When we bought the sales office didn't really go into other than to say there's some on the next road down. I know there's more on the Barretts phase across once they actually decided to build something above foundation level.

Came across this thread and was slightly confused as to what the issue with "Social Housing" on Waverley is? And by definition, do you consider social housing as council housing or shared ownership properties?

I can see a few nearly finished part ownership houses from my window, and look like they blend in well with the estate. But am confused why the need to know where and how many?

This is my point - why does this matter re: social housing? And why such horror at the prospect of "8 social houses all in a row!"

Can't say I've have issues with knowing where they are other than general noisyness. Also my understanding/definition is social housing and shared ownership are two completely different things. Social housing = council/housing associations ie renting.

Also where's the horror someone asked a question and people answered.

The inference in the initial post referred to the fact that there are plans to build 8 social housing type properties all in one road and the use of the exclamation mark suggests an element of shock? Perhaps looking into the use of punctuation too much??!!! As discussed in previous threads, Waverley is not this Utopia/gated community segregated from the outside world as many on here seem to believe. It's simply a mass concrete jungle monopolised by fat cat builders trying to make as much profit as possible from anyone who will throw their money their way. It is also my understanding that any new build development in this country must have a percentage of homes allocated to the social housing sector therefore people should be aware of this potential when purchasing a new build property.

Calm down, it was just a question someone wanted answering

Anyone has a right to ask a question but why so much interest in social housing is my point?? Who cares?? Take individuals at face value for who they are and not what car they drive or how many en-suite's they've got. I have to be honest, I detest living here and can't wait to move back to normality, not in isolation around fake people living in sardine cans! - And assumably looking at the increasing number of already occupied houses going on the market on here, that other people must feel the same.
