Hi. Could the resident that has left a paddling pool on the communal car park grass behind the houses off oak dene way please remove it before it kills off the grass. There are many houses over looking this area and I'm sure no one wants to be looking at a patch of dead grass out of their windows. Thanks

I think the land belongs to someone (maybe the paddling pool owner?). I'm not sure whose view it is upsetting but it's a car park only used by the owners of 5 properties and it is surrounded by fencing.

I don't wish to fall out with anyone about it, but on the plans from our solicitor for our house which shows surrounding land the car park grass is maintained by the management company and the car park spaces are owned by the residents therefore they do not own the grass. It may be fenced but all the houses backing on to it can see into it from upper floor Windows and why should we have to look at a patch of dead grass, it's been left there over a week so no doubt the grass will already be dead.

There is always one lol...... Just to confirm the paddling pool is mine and so is the land which is clearly stated on the plans I have from my solicitor and Harron Homes. For the time being the pool will remain and at a later date the grass is going to be replaced by decking so if you have a problem with your view then tuff look out of a different window if it upsets you so much!

I dont wish to fall out with anyone either ! But you are misinformed regarding who owns which part of land and who doesnt Waverleyres5 . The land that you are refering to is actually owned by the Properties situated on the car park and is in fact not managed by anyone other than than the property owners and is classed as an extension of their particular garden. Your Solicitor Plans are outdated and maybe you should just be looking at your own property !

Also not wanting to fall out with any neighbours but "complaining about the paddling pool on the grass!!" - Are you really being serious?? The access to all the parking spots is actually owned by us, the owners of the apartment. Whilst it is true that the grassed and plant border areas surrounding the car parking were originally supposed to be communal areas for the benefit of numbers 9 to 19 Oak Dene Way ( not the rest of the estate by the way!! ), Harron Homes and Harworth Estates had a change of heart and the grassed / border areas were all reallocated in varying shapes and sizes to the 5 no. properties concerned ie. Nos 9,11,15,17 & 19 Oak Dene Way before exchange of contracts. The plot of grass in question is actually owned by the owner of the paddling pool so it beggars the question what is it to do with anyone else?

May I also say that this Drive Way underneath the Apartment is Private - access only for the mentioned Properties!and not a communal Car park for all Unsundry! Whist the properties behind were being built there was had an endless stream of people (the said buyers of the properties behind)Viewing progress of their particular homes who thought that it would be OK to park in the Car park. We had no objection at the time as in some cases this was the only good view they could get !! So just to reiterate The Grassed and plant border areas that were originally to be part of the communal area for the benefit of properties 9-19 only are now individually owned plots of land and as stated before are the concern of each individual property owner to do with as they wish as others would do with their own gardens Enough said on the matter !!!

Not really much more to be said on the matter I guess....... Other than put up and shut up! Only concerns on the area behind all houses numbered 9-19 are those of the residents living in those houses.

And being a neighbour who also overlooks the car park, I look out there long enough to open my blinds. Oh and it looks like a very nice paddling pool

Thank you to everyone in the thread above. All of your not wanting to fall out with anyone made me smile after what has been a horrible day. Good luck with your discussion. I hope you resolve it without anyone falling out with anyone.

Clearly my children's paddling pool is causing quiet a stir, I mean honestly it's a paddling pool. If I am honest I find it quiet perthetic some people have far too much time on there hands! Like I have already stated the area of grass will be getting decked and looking all nice for who ever waverleyres5 is to look at out of there window. In the mean time unless you live in any of the houses numbered 9-19 the area is private property we also can be funny!
