Morning King Rich. or is it President or Prime Minister I forget. As you apparently speak for the whole of Waverley (or think you do) you will be aware that quite a lot of folk from Catcliffe actually live in the treasured isolated paradise you know as Waverley. Thanks Davsur, if you can make it there's loads of stuff about the kiln and we've got samples of the glass that was made there.

I don't have a problem with Catcliffe. It's you who has a huge chip on your shoulder about Waverley, for reasons which I can't fathom. You can't seem to accept the fact that we're a separate community as opposed to a "part of Catcliffe". It's pretty sad really.
And just for the record, I don't have a problem with you sharing Catcliffe related stuff on here. My post was aimed at your "part of Catcliffe" comment, which isn't the first time you've suggested that. Maybe if you want Waverley folk to join in your events, you might start treating us with a bit more respect, rather than suggesting we've stolen your land.

I dont want to step into what appears to be an ongoing discussion/dispute, but I agree with Rich that Waverley isnt part of Catcliffe. Its even marked as a separate place on the new road signs coming off the parkway. That said I dont have any problem with Catcliffe and my young-un will probably end up going to the primary school there, but its still a separate place.

No one said ever you've stolen our land Rich but the fact remains a lot of you are living within the boundaries of Catcliffe. (It's easy to check). I'm guessing those same people pay their precept to Catcliffe via RMBC. No problem with that but to set yourself up as a separate community came from Rich and a few others. If you remember I invited the Waverley community to be a part of our activities, Friends of Catcliffe is after all about uniting communities. The snobbery and detachment initially came from Rich. As the cairn says at the end of Highfield Spring, we welcome you to Catcliffe and that will always be. If there's anything in Catcliffe going off you'll normally find it on Friends OF Catcliffe Facebook or web page and we really are open to welcome all.

That just simply isn't true. I actually welcomed you on your first post here. If you'd have not spoken of Waverley being part of Catcliffe in literally every post, including your most recent which again reignited this discussion, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Yes technically we may be within the boundaries of Catcliffe but if you've seen the master plan for Waverley I'm sure it's obvious that we wish to become a whole new community and I can only hope that you and other people from the Catcliffe community can learn to see it that way too. Anyway, we should probably draw a line under this bickering. You're welcome here as is anyone but perhaps stay clear of the "our land" type comments in future Rich
