Has anyone else had any problems with their hot water?
Three times this week we've had to reset the boiler due to no hot water. We've noticed each time that the symbol on the panel in the hall is lit, but that the flame on the boiler panel is absent, suggesting that the burner isn't lit. We've read through all the documentation we've been given and other than to continue resetting the boiler and then waiting for the supply there are no more answers.
My husband seems to remember Gary mentioning that this may happen for a little while, but to me it doesn't seem right. I guess we just wanted to know if anyone else has had problems, and to see if there's a logical explanation that we can put right before we call a plumber and have to take time off work to wat in for them!

I've had several problems with my heating but not specifically hot water. First the pressurised vessel was faulty and was replaced. Then that was faulty and was replaced by a bigger better vessel but then the boiler kept resetting and we were told that it hadn't been wired to the pump. Since that's been fixed it's been good but it's taken months to get it sorted.
Just report it to customer services and they should get D Rose to come and look at it. You can usually get an appointment within a few days. Hope you get it sorted.

I had the same problem with my bath water just tepid. Your mixture valve needs adjusting under the bath. Get your builder to sort it out, just a five minute job at the most. Mine has been fine ever since.

I had that problem with the bath and was told it was so that kids couldn't scald themselves. They are deliberately set to a lower temperature than all the other taps in the house. D Rose turned mine up a little bit but it's still not as hot as the others but at least I know it's not a fault.

Ahh that makes sense with the bath as well. Might see if they'll adjust that while they're having a look at the boiler.
We've got D Rose coming out tomorrow, it's just a shame hubby will now have to take half a holiday day to get it sorted. As long as it gets sorted!

Just butting in on harron conversation but I've noticed on our bath ( tw home) taps are red hot but not as hot as the others and I guessed it might be for that reason Rich
