So from what I can see there is 1 parking space for each 2 bedroom apartment and then 14 'visitor spaces' to cover the combined 32 apartments.
That doesn't sound like anywhere near enough to me. If they could fit another 10 visitor spaces into that northern corner then that should probably do it.

And from memory about 10 of those visitor spaces were added following all the objections to the original plans. You’re right its nowhere near enough – parking around the apartments is going to be awful, but I think the whole phase is going to have a lot of on-street parking. Some of the house types are quite nice, and the smaller size will be attractive to many and will sell well I’m sure. However the density is noticeably ramped up compared to other phases on Waverley (which to be fair is part of the master plan as this is ‘Waverley Central’ or whatever it’s called with a higher density). But there’s a lot of remote parking round the back of properties which people won’t use in favour of just parking on the street in front of their front door. it’s not going to be pretty car wise round here. As an aside – it doesn’t bode well when the artists impression of the apartment building looks ugly as sin.

They could have easily doubled the number of visitor spaces shown in the top left of the plan and still had some green space.
There are a few shown around the perimeter of the plan (at the bottom along the road) so I guess that increases the total to about 21.

Also looks as though a lot of the smaller homes only have one drive space each as well.

Yeah but I think they're for the houses that they are outside of. I wouldn't want a communal visitor space outside of my house.

As I pointed out to Duncan during the meet last week, it is wrong for the builders etc to sell the vision of the site as follows: 'A development of stylish two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom houses. The modern styling of these homes gives them a distinctive appearance and their close proximity to the M1 makes for an easy commute to both Sheffield and Rotherham. The development itself is part of an exciting new community which will include a family friendly pub, supermarket, health centre, parks and schools.' when the dates for delivery are very far in the future and the masterplan changes constantly. Same lines were given to us in 2012 and thus far we have a pub. The photos are interesting. I like the one with the fountains outside

I visited "Evolution" development 2 weeks back and I quite like their floorplan and overall plan(photos which I saw on site). but as they don't have show home or empty flat to see i am struggling to take decision. is there anything I should know which help/feedback to my decision? It would be really helpful.

Do they have any show homes at other local developments that are similar? When we bought our Harron Home they didn't have our style of home as a show home at Waverley, so I visited the one they had at Pontefract.

Hi The new Taylor Wimpey Scheme (Innovation @ the Banks) is built using timber frame, instead of traditional Blockwork inner skin.
Does any body remember if the completed 2017, Barratt homes evolution scheme, is built using timber frame or tradition brickwork & blockwork?? I'm thinking about buying one Thanks

They were built in brick. Google Street View is from June 2015 and you can see a couple that are half built here: www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.3808716,-1.3697487,3a,60y,129.87h,85.88t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1scBOyE1zWRg89ANYs5ycGmw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Anybody have a copy of construction drawings for there barratt evolution house, they are willing to share?? (pretty please?) Doesn't matter if its not the same house type. I can extrapolate, as all the houses are similar in size. I'm more interested in the construction and electrical and plumbing layouts and designs. I'm in the process of buying one, but I have no info about the original house and Barratt are refusing to give me a copy because it is archived.
