Hi, Moved in today (45 Lescar) ... Going ok so far!! Need a bit of advice from any Kinnersley owners. We purchased a sofa a couple of days ago from DFS for 1st floor lounge. Bought online (so I'm hoping we can cancel if needed!). Its comes in 2 parts but is a large corner one. Struggled today with getting some drawers upstairs - which are way smaller than the sofa, and so was wondering if anyone had sofas in theirs already .. Sizes / issues ... Before I try and cancel our order ... Cheers

We are in a hebden so I can't really help but DFS came out to measure the stairs to see if the sofa we ordered would fit. It wouldn't. We have had to order a different one. You should be ok if the back comes off though. We still have wardrobes in our garage that wouldn't go upstairs.

Thank you. Really useful. I think the sofa we have is a little bigger (20 cm).. So. Your point about the balcony seems a good start. Did they need a special tool or do Harron do it (remove iron work) ... ? Also... Did they get the furniture up themselves (if so how!) or did they get specialised help .... ?? Much appreciated .. Mark..

They just went at it mob handed with friends and family helping to lift it up. The balcony is just bolt on, bolt off. Another friend managed to get theirs over the top of the balcony without taking it off and the DFS guys were happy to help.

Hi we've only just got round to doing the lounge and we are having a corner sofa made to the exact measurements we wanted and also he took note of measurements of the stairs for getting in.

Well after massive sagas with DFS we finally have a sofa in our upstairs lounge!
You couldn't make it up - site survey says yes no issues will go in fine - downstairs sofa arrives and driver says no chance for the upstairs order (plus damages the door frame trying to get a standard sofa in?!) - call shop concerned, reassured all will be fine.. - contract drivers arrive on Wednesday with sofa for upstairs.. Definitely a no go, plus more damage of the walls this time - DFS insist on resending the sofa with DFS employees. With a little care and attention, it finally goes in!
My advice - DFS haven't been the best for service or due care, but we got there in the end. We have a Freya sofa (left hand facing corner) and it does fit in the 1st floor lounge of a kinnersley!

Hi Cheryl, we have ordered a sofa with similar dimensions for the 1st floor lounge and aren't convinced it's going to go up. We wanted the longer side of the sofa facing the wall where the TV aerial/socks are, but it doesn't fit according to the dimensions. Where have you got yours positioned?

There you go Matt They arms screwed off and they had to take these off to get it up (make a fair bit of difference - without this it wouldnt have gone up) - looks fine though (we may never get it out though!) your welcome to take a peek if your around at any point ... you must be close to moving in now though?

Thanks Mark, that fits perfectly doesn't it! We got our keys yesterday and moved a few things in. The sofa's are being delivered on Tuesday so I suppose we'll see then.
