Has anyone else received an e-mail from Harron saying they have a "Passion for Excellence" and would like feedback by way of completing a short survey? Think the wife will find it quite cathartic...

I have a feeling they may regret sending this round our way.

I don't think we will get one! Is there a "really s#*t" option?

Hi Sifu!!
How are you? Yeah settling in slowly thank you, slowly working through our snags. We mainly had cosmetic issues and poor drainage in the garden but hopefully they are getting sorted soon!
I haven't given a very good survey though, we have had a new assistant site manager start last week and he seems like he will get things sorted.
Have you had many issues?

Hi Gem, It's kind of been erratic. The major issues are slowly being resolved but there are still many cosmetic issues. The biggest problem we had was with the kitchen. 3 months on and its almost fixed. I think my wife's main concerns are that everything seems rushed to get us in for Christmas and as such, Harron have made many compromises. Overall build quality seems poor and we worry that if we are finding faults with superficial aspects, what have they done structurally that we can't see in order to cut corners. Communication with Harron is also sporadic. I can appreciate that site have many people to see but they could be better organised. My wife spoke to a new chap last week called Oliver who seems to have things under control but time will tell. Still feeling frustrated and let down. I won't bore you with the details of the snags / poor workmanship / corner cutting. Glad things are finally being resolved for you though.

Not had one of these questionnaire emails either but I can understand why they wouldn't sent me one because I'd just be ripping Harron apart. Got speaking to quite a few workers of site and everyone says the same thing. That everything is rushed that doesn't allow them to forge job as good as it should. Still it's no excuse.
All the site managers are bothered about is hitting targets and making sure they get a bonus when they get people moved in. They don't care about the standard of bold or finish quality as long as it's finished on time. Got told today of one of the workers that spotted a problem and when he told the site manager which was Neil he just laughed and shrugged his shoulders, so if that's how he deals with a problem then no wonder the houses have so many issues
