Okay so I've spent all day trying to figure out the upstairs thermostat I've been on so many forums, read manuals, been on YouTube and our upstairs beating STILL doesn't come on at the preset times/days?? Is there a reason for this? I've even tried setting the temp to 23degrees but nothing. The only way I can get upstairs on is if I turn it up myself and the little flame pops up. Is my heating knackered as well as the rest of my house??

I'm pretty sure that either the main heating or the hot water needs to be on (so the boiler is on) for the upstairs thermostat to be able to work.

Our upstairs one works even if downstairs heating and hot water is off. Have you tried phoning the manufacturer? They were really helpful, they went through the whole programming week with me to find the problem. We did have both replaced within the first month though. We had the opposite problem, the heating kept coming on at random times!

Is your main controller downstairs set to automatic? I think ours has to be before the upstairs thermostat will kick in on the timer. The thermostats still work at independent times and temperatures but the main controller needs to be set to auto from what I remember. Hope you get sorted soon.

Hi Yeah the thermostat downstairs is on auto (I think- is that where it comes on at certain times of the day?) We have someone coming out tomorrow and it may be a "programming issue" hopefully that's all it is and it gets sorted. Thanks for your help everyone
