What's happened? Will it just not fire up?
The system pressure may be too low?

I think you go through glow worm if it's the boiler and Harron if it's the rest of the system, did you register it when you moved in? Is it totally dead or does it show a fault code in the display window on the front of the boiler? Ours regularly shows an F6 thermistor fault; easily solved with the reset button.

As Chris said check the pressure reading usually found in the cupboard housing the water tank. Our system has a tendency to lose pressure over a week or so requiring top ups otherwise heating and hot water doesn't work.

We lose a bit of pressure every 4 or 5 months, but every week or so sounds like there's a problem :-(

I agree it's not normal but they say they can't find a problem. I've also had it independently checked by British Gas. No big problem, just have to remember to increase the pressure every week or two or I wake up in the morning and get a cold shower

Check your tundish on the tank. Is there any water dripping? That was causing our low pressure/useless heating issues.

We had something similar, can't remember the code but it sounds familiar. Had South Electrical round who found a fault with electrics and sorted it. Never had to reset it since.

We had the same and they changed the vessel for a larger capacity one, saying the one we had wasn't big enough for our house. I only top up twice a year.

Phew I sorted it, it did say f6 so I read through manuals and pressed reset button... Good job I didn't get gloworm out because they wanted to charge 90 if it was the fault of the builders... I did email resolution team they were quick to respond saying they would get a plumber out today to look at it... Wow that is a first ... Thanks everyone Lisa

D Rose plumbers are really good. Harron use them on site and sent them out too sort our boiler out when we first moved in. We had a fault F22. That was where the pressure had dropped.
