Just curious: have Harron Homes offered to cover anyone else's additional mortgage fees if, due to a delay on their part, they cause you to miss the deadline on drawing down your mortgage (typically 6 months and usually not extendable) and thus forcing you to arrange another mortage?
Our build date has been delayed by over two months and the new mortgage has now cost us an additional £999 in fees which HH have so far refused to pay.
Thanks.

Hi, our mortgage offer runs out at the end of April, which is when they've told us we'll be completing. It's only by luck it's fallen like that as we were originally told March for completion, but we mentioned it when we picked our kitchen and carpets and the woman in the sales office (can't recall name) said if the house was late, they would have to stand to any fees. Obviously took it with a pinch of salt, though.
Where abouts is your house?

Thanks Matt83, It was my husband who originally posted the question and we were told that they would stand to any fees we would have to pay if the build was delayed. Of cause the build is delayed and we've paid to have another mortgage, now they've changed their mind and told us they will only pay for valuation.
Anyway we have bought a house on phase 4, plot 263, now Derwent Chase Really looking forward to moving and getting to know some new people on the estate.
