After the consultation evening with loads of people only 8 people have objected.
After reading the last one and finding out the person didn't even have a latter and is directly affected I emailed rotheham council and this was my reply !!
You still have loads of time to contest this application.
Sam
Apologies you didn't receive a neighbour consultation letter, we certainly sent a copy out to you in the post, following your initial email.
I am happy to accept letters of representation until the day the application is heard at Planning Board. If any of these are received after the Report deadline (which is usually 3 weeks prior to the Board date) they will be verbally reported on the day.
Having regard to the publicity of the application. LPA's are required to advertise Major applications as follows:
(a) (i) by site display in at least one place on or near the land to which the application relates for not less than 21 days; or (ii) by serving the notice on any adjoining owner or occupier; and (b) by publication of the notice in a newspaper circulating in the locality in which the land to which the application relates is situated.
In this case, the Council posted letters to all dwellings directly opposite or adjacent the site AND displayed site notices along Highfield Lane, together with the publication of a notice in the local press.
We are therefore satisfied that we have gone over and beyond the requirements outlined above.

It really isn't fair for Barratts to put up so many flats in that tiny space. I've just purchased a Kinnersley on Waverley Way and I can't imagine how ugly a four storey high flats will look. People need to protest!
