Hi,
My girlfriend and I have been keeping a close eye on the area as we are fancying moving here. We've checked out the show homes for all builders, and I must admit, Harron didn't impress us as much as TW and Barratt. We were hoping more TW homes were forecast but unsure if ever. I've also read some nightmares people have had when dealing with Harron as per above. I Hope you guys manage to sort whatever problems you have, and I agree, Harron shouldn't be allowed anymore building rights until all previous builds are resolved.

We viewed Harron, Barratts and Taylor Wimpey before deciding to buy. We chose Harron because we felt the TW and Barratts homes were uninspiring, we much preferred the Harron designs.... But if we all liked the same then there would only be one builder on the go I suppose

Haron is building houses in front of my house. Watching their progress is one of our household activities Before went to the meeting: since January back from holiday, (the plot is only has few units on foundation before Xmas holiday, I have photos), and up till today, 2 houses already moved in, another 6 are nearly completed, and at least 8 are already above 1 floor(some on roof now). At least 5 already got foundation level completed. Fast, and too fast they built compared to barratt who only finished 7 units (before Xmas holiday all already completed 2 floors but without roof). They work even Saturday and Sunday. And usually still can hear someone working till 8pm. As they built extremely fast, that's why I'm worry and took the photos from time to time. And they are terrible on their planning. All the detached houses have small space of parking area, small road.. They seems to squeeze as much as houses they can in that plot. Although mostly detached houses, however, I can foresee much of off road parking in the future. Unlike barratt offer huge road for residents to park off road, Harron didn't do that and the road are really small. To be honest, I'm concern about the quality of the edge. So,now I understand why they rush the building the plot opposite me... yes, I agree, they are greedy and only care for profit, not the quality like barratt has offered and I can see why now! God bless those who buy from haron homes. Harron do build quick, like you we watched homes go up in front of us. However, i previously lived in a Barratt development and to be fair it seemed similar in build speed. This comment re poor design, small drive etc is something which was not the case on our Harron development (view Bradfield way homes and you will see double drives and decent plots for new builds)... This seems to be a new issue for the new phases but I think that's due to the planning department insisting on higher density of homes?... If you look at the upcoming new Barratt phase you will see cramped plots and awful parking provision which supports this... I'm worried about where the overall master plan and development is heading

We absolutely love our Harron home, seem to have more space... TW and Barrett didn't wow me as much... We did have a few snagging issues but they did sort it eventually

We have received a copy of the new Harron plans in the post. What do people think about them?
