Given the current popularity and resergence of modern tabletop / boardgames, are there any cardboard gamers on the estate ?, Anybody have any favourites ?

What kind of games? We may have a couple of versions of risk and munchkin (amazing game) and a few others. We love table top gaming (as well as PC gaming).

Munchkin is in the right ball park ( I have a big munchking collection ), but in addition to that my current favourites include Lords Of Waterdeep , Pandemic and Dead Of Winter, I've got a fairly extensive collection that continues to grow at an alarming pace. Im also a big pc gamer, but I really enjoy the much more social aspect of sitting round the table with beer and cardboard!

My husband really likes table top games (and computer games) but i've got to admit I like playing Munchkin too - and Pandemic looks quite interesting. We would be interested in joining for a game at the pub one night

Excellent, I'll try and arrange something in the next couple of weeks, I've no free time this week, but will sort something out for shortly thereafter... Also, Im involved ( running games.. ) in a charity event on Sunday 8th November, just up the road at The Old Rectory, Handsworth.... tickets are £5, all proceeds to charity, details are here... Roll With It Facebook Event, and electronic tickets are available here from patriot games Roll With It - TicketsTickets will be available on the door, unless the event is sold out (200), and there will be a good selection of all kinds of games.

At the risk of resurrecting an old thread, did much ever get started up in the area? I'm moving to waverly in a couple of months and am along the same lines here (we have pandemic, munchkin, zombicide) type games also.

Not much ever came of it, happy to try and organise something again in the future though.. Also, for a great day full of gaming for a good cause, check out this event, its at Bramall lane this year, www.facebook.com/events/1767163983524416/, and its all for Wellchild Childrens Charity.. tickets are a fiver, or I think theres a discount for family tickets. There'll be loads of games, with people to help teach and demonstrate, a few competitions etc, or bring your own, and find other people to play.
