Some of you may be aware that the local Health Visiting team tried to start mother and baby sessions at the Winter Green before Christmas and you probably received a letter about them through the post. For various reasons these sessions have now been taken over by the staff from Aughton Children's Centre. Myself and a couple of other mums went across at the start of last month and the staff seemed quite keen for these sessions to continue within our community. As far as I am aware the next session will take place tomorrow morning at 10am and will continue to take place on the first Tuesday of the month. They were a little unsure as to what activities would take place but I think they were happy to be led by us.

We are expecting our first anytime soon so I expect my wife will be interested in this. Our midwife mentioned that there were lods of expectant mothers on the estate so I would imagine interest in this should sky rocket.

I missed the last couple due to being away but I will be there tomorrow.
I know that Tammy, the health visitor that used to run it, had accepted a new job in Doncaster. Which would explain why it has been taken over by the childrens centre.
Looking forward to seeing some other mums (and dads too!) tomorrow. There was a great turn out before Christmas so lets hope for the same again.

Had a great time at the baby session today as well. It was lovely to meet other mums living on the estate! :-)
The session will be running every week from 10am on Tuesdays at the Winter Green. Would be great to have other mums/dads/expectant parents join us.
See you next Tuesday!

I don't think there is an age limit. One mum came along with a three year old and a baby last week. Hopefully see you tomorrow :-)

Hi everyone. This sounds like a good group, I'm due to move to Waverley in June with my husband and our 18mth old son and currently don't have anything on on Tuesday mornings so I look forward to hopefully coming and joining in and meeting some local mums and babies.

Is this still running every Tuesday at 10am? Just wanted to check before we turned up tomorrow and it wasn't on. Also can I check that an age limit hasn't been put in place since someone mentioned it back in April - my little boy is 20months. Thanks

Hi :-)
Yes, the baby group is still running, every Tuesday 10am to 11.30am. No age limit, most babies that attend at the mo are under 1 but all welcome. Tends to be quite relaxed with some toys and nursery rhymes.
Look forward to seeing you there and meeting your little one.

Aww but don't worry, the 'official' baby group will be taking a break over the school holidays but we will be planning pram walks and possibly some other trips over the summer. Also some of us will hopefully still meet up for cake and a natter at the pub on a Tuesday. Hopefully see you then! :-)

Hi
Does anyone on this post know where and when I can go to get my baby weighed? I'm registered at Handsworth doctors so cant use the Rotherham GP's.
Thanks
