No TV....sounds like a great pub to me :-)
Hopefully they will ban Mobile Phones as well and then everyone can be social...rather than ignoring each other whilst staring at there phones :-)
We've got a table booked for Saturday Evening :-)

I'm also disappointed there's no football. You'd think they'd be able to have it in one side only? I assume it's a company policy though so probably won't change... Up the Owls!

Been to the winter green friends & family night tonight. Very nice food and a very comfy feel to the place. What with the winter green at one side and whitbys on the other it could be a great place to be!!

Just been tonight for the staff training evening. Good atmosphere, everyone really chatty. The food was good, little mix up with the wife's order, but all sorted quickly. Everyone was really friendly.
£3.05 for a Fosters, £4.15 for a Peroni, with Heineken and Amstel somewhere in between!!! Plus £4.70 for a large rose for the wife!!!

We were there tonight as well, very impressed.
They were very busy but coped well. You could tell the staff behind the bar were learning their feet. Especially with the till but having been in their shoes many, many years ago I know what its like trying to learn a new system.
The food was really good, the service spot on and the beer was great.
As you say it had a great atmosphere, none of the staff were overwhelmed even though it was very busy when we arrived. They still took the time time to have a chat.
We also had a very minor error with the desert order but that was it :-D
But for a training night, hats off to all the staff :-D
